DTG Direct-to-Garment Printing
Detailed, full-color artwork printed directly onto your garment.
DTG prints ink directly onto the garment. It is an option for detailed graphics, photographs and gradients on suitable cotton and cotton-rich apparel. We review your fabric, garment color and artwork to help you choose between DTG and DTF transfers.

What we do differently
Direct to the garment
The design is printed onto the fabric instead of being transferred from film.
Choose the process with the garment
DTG and DTF are different production options. Send the garment style and artwork so we can recommend the appropriate method.
Typical applications
- Company tees and branded apparel
- Detailed illustrations and photographic designs
- Cotton tees and suitable cotton-rich garments
- Small collections and project-specific print runs
Materials and substrates
- Cotton garments
- Suitable cotton-rich blends, subject to review
- Light or dark garments with preparation matched to the fabric and artwork
Artwork we can work from
AI, EPS, PDF, SVG, or a transparent PNG at 300 dpi at final print size
- Include the intended print dimensions.
- Remove unwanted backgrounds and send the original artwork rather than a screenshot.
- Include garment style, fabric composition, color and placement.
The artwork guide covers stitch counts, placements, backings and what does not translate to thread.
Questions we get
- How is DTG different from DTF?
- DTG prints directly onto the garment. DTF prints onto film that is then heat-applied. We can help choose the process for your fabric and design.
- Which garments work for DTG?
- Cotton and suitable cotton-rich garments are common choices. Send the exact garment style and fabric composition for review.
- Can you print photographs and gradients?
- Yes. Supply high-resolution artwork at the intended print size so we can review the detail before production.
